Growing on the Farm

We are coming to the end of our first growing season on the farm.  We have had a year of joy, happiness, hard work, triumphs, disappointments, and certainly a lot of lessons.  We are extremely proud of our first season on the farm, we produces loads of squash, zucchini, tomatoes, okra, lettuce, carrots, potatoes, corn, green beans, peas, onions, beets, kale, herbs….the list goes on.  We have met some incredible people.  We have battled the rain and mud and weeds, and feasted on the fresh, pesticide free fruits, of our labor.  We have raised chickens and goats, and felt the sadness when predators have taken some from us.

The best news is that we are doing new things every day!  We are hoping to harvest the first honey from our hives late this summer. We are putting in our fall crops which includes all the greens we love.  We have put in a farm storage building which will allow us to keep our veggies cooler and fresher, longer and allow us a refrigerator  for our eggs.  We are expanding the garden plots and we will be getting some new animals.  There are just so many great things going on.

We are very thankful for all our customers, all those who keep coming out to the farm, and the farmer’s markets to see us and buy healthy foods.  We are thankful for each one who tells a friend about us.

Thank you for standing by us and watching us grow!
